Constant oil pump
Constant pump. Constant quality.
The main oil pump is constructed in a simple design with a Gerotor. It sucks motor oil from the oil pan of the engine and supplies the lubrication points, which are under operating pressure, with motor oil. The oil pump is driven via the crankshaft and the pressure regulator is controlled by a plastic piston.
In doing so, the plastic piston is controlled via the gallery pressure and assumes two functions. One of these is the setting of the operating pressure and the other is an internal safety function related to the pressure of the motor oil, in the case of a failure of the gallery pressure.
